Cher has extensive experience as a litigator, which has also provided her with an excellent background to additionally handle an array of non-litigation matters. Litigators, like Cher, naturally see things through the prism of dispute avoidance and client protection and thus, are adept at reviewing and drafting agreements and handling non-litigation matters in an attempt to do so.
In that regard, Cher has over eighteen years of experience in commercial litigation in state and federal courts, as well as the US Patent and Trademark Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her experience includes jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings and trials, mediation, arbitrations, and appeals. Her litigation practice covers a wide array of areas, including contract, trade-secret, intellectual property, premises liability, hearings and appeals of alcoholic beverage rulings, business “divorces” between members/partners/shareholders, construction, real estate, insurance coverage, employment, commercial leases, financial transactions, and probate.
In addition, and in concert with her litigation practice, Cher advises clients with respect to non-litigation matters, including but not limited to construction contracts, leases, lending documents, employment agreements, non-disclosure and non-compete agreements, as well as intellectual property issues. Cher’s intellectual property experience includes trademark prosecution, as well as litigation.
