Attorney Max Hess Presents to German Trade Delegation

Attorney Max Hess recently presented on the topic of the beverage alcohol industry in the U.S. Southeast to a trade delegation made up of German wineries, breweries, distilleries, and some of their trade associations.  The presentation discussed ways in which the U.S. Southeast, and Georgia in particular, is different from other parts of the U.S. in regard to how it regulates beverage alcohol.

Mr. Hess discussed, among other topics, the three-tier system, tied-house prohibitions and related trade practice regulations, the franchise system, and gave an update on the historical perspective to the present.  The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Consumer Protection of Germany sponsored the delegation, and the German-American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern United States hosted the visit.
