Attorney Otto Feil Teaches Trial Advocacy Skills

Since 1992, firm shareholder Otto Feil has taught trial advocacy skills to other trial lawyers in his capacity as a faculty member at the National Trial Advocacy College held annually at The University of Virginia School of Law.  During the program, Otto lectured on and demonstrated an array of advocacy skills.  He further provided extensive training in small groups in which participants practiced and performed every advocacy skill in a simulated setting. After this hands-on trial skills training, each participant teamed with a member of the group to prepare and try a case against another pair of attendees — before a live jury with an experienced trial judge.  In 2010, the College awarded Otto with the Brennan Award – an esteemed award honoring lawyers who participate in the education of lawyers.
