Cheralynn M. Gregoire

Associate

Cher is a senior associate in the firm's litigation department.  She counsels businesses and individuals with respect to both business litigation matters and litigation prevention.

While Cher's practice covers a wide range of areas, she focuses a significant portion of her practice on handling leasing and landlord-tenant matters for the multi-family residential and commercial retail industries.  Cher works with risk managers and general counsel of local, regional, and national property management companies, owners, and landlords to enforce leases and defend against breach of lease, wrongful eviction, and premises liability claims.  She also assists these clients with insurance, contract, construction, and collection matters.

Cher devotes part of her practice to construction law and litigation.  She represents developers, contractors, suppliers, owners, and insurance carriers in disputes involving contracts, construction defects, insurance coverage, and mechanics' liens.  She also has experience defending claims involving building products such as windows and doors in product and warranty litigation.

Cher's practice also includes the representation of clients in resolving problems with secured and unsecured loan and credit transactions, including loan and credit documentation review, asset management and recovery, litigation, judgment enforcement, and bankruptcy.

Cher received her undergraduate degree in International Studies and English from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, where she graduated cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.  She graduated from Georgia State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Georgia State Law Review and held a position on the Law Review's Editorial Board.  While at Georgia State, Cher also served as an extern to Justice Hugh P. Thompson of the Georgia Supreme Court.
